Greetings everyone,
You may have noticed quite a few changes around the old family site lately. This is because I have been working hard on a new and improved Family Land. I have always had a goal to create a SECURE, highly interactive, online community, media portal, and blog solution for my entire family. With this latest version of Family Land, I think we are well on our way to that goal.
I was able to incorporate most of the information from the old site except the comments on the photo section and all 3 user accounts. Unfortunately, this means you have to sign up for a new account on this web site. The good news is this single account will now work across all the other sections of the site like the photo, discussion, and genealogy site. No more need to create a separate account for each of these sections like in the past.
Please be sure to use the "Read More" links to see entire articles:)

This is an extremely long list, but I will try and outline the coolest new stuff for you here. Be sure to use the "Read More" link to learn more about ALL the new features of our site. The newest, very coolest, addition is the Family Genealogy Section (GEDView). After doing some extensive research on this type of software, what I finally found is quite simply amazing!! If you don't believe me, I urge you to check it out for yourself. This is definitely the place you want to go first. This new add-on to the site will allow us to keep track of all the important facts about our familys like, birthdays, deaths, anniversaries, maiden names, graduations, addresses, special pictures, and a whole lot more. All completely secure, and easily printed and organized into trees. It is completely private to the outside world and they will only see the info of deceased family for security reasons. This is why it is so important you sign up for an account. |

Hey everyone, Lots of great stuff going on this summer. To start with we have 3 family reunions that are 1 week, and about 120 miles apart. They are on August 1st, 8th, and 9th.
If you can get up North towards the end of the summer, this would be something you might want to check out. I have included the full messages with all the phone numbers and other contact information you might need at the end of this article. Make sure you hit the "Read More" link to see these messages. Or, Here is a link to a nice printable file with all the reunion info for all 3: Family Reunion 2009 I will be heading down to Wyoming here right before these reunions, and the hope is that I will be able to hit 1, or maybe even all of them on the way back. More to come on that later.
We also have a 60th Wedding anniversary, and a graduation going on this summer. Be sure to check this out in the Family news section! |
